Grab your garlic, vampire fans! This Sunday Sunshine Cinema brings three classic indie vampire flicks to the screen back to back, including Fessenden’s HABIT! This is a great chance to see these classics on the big screen.
As Fangoria describes the mini-fest:
The triptych, presented by Vampire Freaks and Atlanta Technical Solutions, takes place this Sunday, March 8 at 7 p.m. at the Sunshine (143 East Houston Street between 1st and 2nd Avenues). Leading off is Abel Ferrara’s moody black-and-white THE ADDICTION, starring Lili Taylor and Christopher Walken, which remains unavailable on U.S. disc, followed by Larry Fessenden’s HABIT (pictured above) in a brand new restored cut, and finished off with Leif Jonker’s underground splatterfest DARKNESS in its rarely seen alternate “Metal Cut.” Following the movies, there will be a Skype Q&A with filmmakers and critics—and if you want to make it a bloodsucker quadruple feature, the hilarious mockumentary WHAT WE DO IN THE SHADOWS is also playing a regular engagement at the Sunshine!
