An allegorical tale of a couple who attempt to renew their dying relationship by plugging directly into recordings of their memories, the project is shot and hosting a kickstarter campaign for finishing costs.

This portrait of a middle-aged actress in Los Angeles who makes a decent living as a Hollywood bit player but worries about the future, is bolstered by the astoundingly natural performance of Jane Adams (“Happiness,” “Hung”)…What plot there is revolves around a visit by Marie’s 25-year-old niece, Faye (Sophia Takal), an aspiring actress. The two women compare the difference between breasts at 45 and 25, and you feel Marie’s resignation to her decline with the passing of time. There is a party where Faye overindulges and Marie and her friend Rusty (Larry Fessenden) have a conversation in which he does spot-on Jack Nicholson imitations…Without preaching, “All the Light in the Sky” poses questions that are worth asking, even if we know the answers. Why do people build houses that they know will eventually be swallowed by the sea? How do we keep up our spirits with the realization that no matter what we do, there is no turning back the clock? A new generation of horror filmmaker debuts with RIDING SHOTGUN, a short film directed by Jack Fessenden, son of New York genre mogul Larry….The half-hour RIDING SHOTGUN was written by Jack and Alex Hoffman, who also star as a couple of teenaged friends driving through upstate New York in the wake of a zombie outbreak. Jack edited and scored the movie, while Larry (who also co-stars) served as director of photography, and the two produced the movie with Beck Underwood.”

“Adrián García Bogliano’s Here Comes the Devil is what would happen if psychological terror and weird sex shit came to a Mentos commercial. Stilted as fuck, fueled on pregnant pauses and eyeball acting that makes virtually every character appear to have a thyroid condition, the movie revels in the kind of unnaturalness the ’70s schlock it so admires could only settle for….I never stopped wanted to see what the fuck ridiculous thing it was going to throw at me next. It intensifies at certain points into shockingly brutal violence, and is more effective for being so felicitous about that. Without going excessive and taking a torture-porn turn, this movie shows you that it means business and isn’t just some jump-scare-loaded, soft-R-for scary bullshit…”

Don’t worry, the rumors are false! As reported by Gamespot.com:

“Reports of PlayStation 3 teen-style horror game Until Dawn’s cancellation are false, developer Supermassive Games confirmed today with VG247.

‘Until Dawn is most definitely not cancelled and we are still developing it,’ managing director Pete Samuels said. ‘Not only that, but we’re really excited about what we’re creating and can’t wait to tell more and show more sometime soon. I understand that the silence has been frustrating for those people who have been looking out for more details.’

Though Until Dawn remains in development, the game will not ship in 2013 as planned. ‘It’s clearly not planned to be a 2013 release any longer,’ Samuels said, though he did not explain why the game has been delayed.

Until Dawn was announced during Sony’s 2012 Gamescom presentation in August 2012 and versions of the game have been playable for press since. In the game, which uses the PlayStation Move controller as a flashlight, players will take on the role of multiple characters and must fight to stay alive through a night fraught with danger.

Supermassive is collaborating with horror film veterans Larry Fessenden (Habit) and Graham Reznick (Stake Land) for Until Dawn.”

“It goes without saying that Larry Fessenden is one of my all time favorite filmmakers in the genre. His 2nd film HABIT being in my top 5 vampire movies of ever, so I’m always curious to see what Larry will do next, both as a producer and a director. So I was curious just how his giant killer fish flick for Chiller BENEATH would play out. Larry’s favorite movie is JAWS, so I got the sense that this is the sort of thing he’s always wanted to make. And I think it may be his best, most commercially accessible movie to date. If you’re expecting some kind of gory horror comedy romp like the PIRHANA remake, look elsewhere. This is actually a more straight forward approach, despite the ridiculous nature of a movie with a giant killer fish. The reason it works so well is not the threat outside the boat once these kids get stranded in the middle of the lake, it’s the horror that comes from their actions to each other in order to survive. The tagline says it all, “they’re only friends on the surface.” I was rather surprised by how just about every death sequence played out as they’re all not what you’d expect. In fact, my Killer POV co-host Elric Kane and I both agree that there’s one Hitchcock-ian death that could be the best death sequence in horror of the year. While it already aired on Chiller a few months back, the fine folks at Scream Factory will be giving this a proper Blu-Ray/DVD release in the Spring of 2014!”
