Mysteriously appearing today 13 August, an interview with Fessenden by Sean Axmaker to support the release of… BENEATH…?

After some serious teasing, Sony has finally confirmed UNTIL DAWN for release on PlayStation 4! Sony dropped a handful of alluringly mysterious clips over the past few days leading up to Gamescom 2014, and during the company’s press conference today they premiered this chilling new trailer. As previously reported, UNTIL DAWN was scripted by Fessenden and Graham Reznick. Head on over to Bloody Disgusting for the writeup, and stay tuned for word on an official release date!

If you happened to blink while watching THE STRAIN on FX last night, you might have missed Fessenden’s cameo as Jack Noon, a cleaner sent in to tidy up a grisly murder. Though his character met an untimely demise in fairly short order, Fessenden still managed to briefly go toe-to-toe with a particularly nasty vampire! Aram Garriga’s AMERICAN JESUS continues its festival run this weekend with a screening at SoulFest in Gilford, NH. ALL THE LIGHT IN THE SKY

“All the Light in the Sky,” a 2012 movie by Joe Swanberg (“Drinking Buddies,” “Happy Christmas”), stars Jane Adams as Marie, an actress living by the beach in Los Angeles, her career stalled as she hits middle age.

At 45, Marie is still fit, getting up early every morning to don a wet suit and ride the Malibu surf. She auditions, but keeps losing roles to Kristen Wiig. Trying to buck her up, a friend gives her a mantra to repeat at tryouts: “I have 45 years of experience, 45 years worth of color to be in this moment.”

As Marie shakily tries to apply that wisdom, she’s joined by Faye (Sophia Takal), her 25-year-old niece who’s coming to California to maybe break into the biz herself. While taking pains to make the young and beautiful girl feel welcome, Marie embarks on researching a role with a solar engineer, striking up a possible romance with a younger suitor and trying to navigate the feelings of insecurity, competition and faltering self-worth that ebb and flow like the waves underneath her precariously perched apartment.

Larry Fessenden – The New York City-based horror film director, actor and producer owns Glass Eye Pix, which has produced a number of movies from the new wave of young horror directors, including Ti West’s House of the Devil and The Innkeeper, Jim Mickle’s Stake Land, and Glenn McQuaid’s I Sell The Dead. His own directorial works include Habit, The Last Winter, Wendigo, and Beneath.

Glenn McQuaid – Writer and director Glenn McQuaid, born and raised on the north side of Dublin, first collaborated with Larry Fessenden when he coordinated the visual effects on THE ROOST. Since then he has worked on several of Glass Eye Pix productions including THE LAST WINTER, HOUSE OF THE DEVIL and STAKE LAND. McQuaid’s feature debut I SELL THE DEAD was a festival favorite that sold to IFC.

Today, Sony posted another mysterious teaser hinting at the potential re-reveal of UNTIL DAWN at Gamescom 2014. The snippet features a bloody axe plunging into a stump amidst an eerily frozen atmosphere. While the teaser is light on actual information, it promises that a big announcement is coming soon. Arms get cold in February air

Until Dawn became the poster child for Sony’s ill-fated PlayStation Move motion controller when it was first announced, which just goes to show how long the teen horror title has spent in hiding since being unveiled. As suspected, a leaked GamesCom 2014 lineup last week confirmed the release for the PlayStation 4 – but Sony has yet to make an official comment on the error.
However, a new teaser trailer released by the platform holder has seemingly reiterated that the Supermassive Games developed exclusive will be on display in Cologne next week, as it shows a bloody snowflake falling to an icy floor. This is reminiscent of the introduction used when the game was originally revealed, and certainly matches its snowy setting.
Other announcements expected next week include next-gen iterations of Journey and The Unfinished Swan, as well as potential project debuts from Media Molecule and Guerrilla Games. We hope that you’ve recovered from E3 2014 earlier in the year, because this is going to be fun.
