Glass Eye Pix 30th Anniversary Mini-Doc: Collaborator from 1999 to the present, artist and writer BRAHM REVEL has provided storyboards, design sketches, comic book adaptations, and animations for numerous projects including WENDIGO, THE ROOST, MANITOU VALLEY, THE LAST WINTER, BENEATH, and I SELL THE DEAD. Revel has also designed posters and advent calendars for GEP and penned episodes of the CREEPY CHRISTMAS FILM FEST and TALES FROM BEYOND THE PALE. Edit by Chris Skotchdopole.

Glass Eye Pix 30th Anniversary Mini-Doc: Makeup artist Brian Spears has been creating monsters and gore effects for Glass Eye Pix since 2007’s I SELL THE DEAD. With his partner Peter Gerner, Spears has created ghosts, vampires, zombies and even an old man in GEP films BLOOD RED EARTH, BITTER FEAST, STAKE LAND, HYPOTHERMIA, THE INNKEEPERS, BENEATH, LATE PHASES, DARLING and RIDING SHOTGUN. Spears recalls the family atmosphere at Fessenden’s production company over the years. Edit by Chris Skotchdopole.

GEP Celebrated 30th Birthday with EXPERIENCED MOVERS Screening at Lucy’s

Last night Glass Eye Pix rung in their 30th birthday with a screening of EXPERIENCED MOVERS at Lucy’s: the bar where the film was shot. 30 years ago, to the night last night, the Glass Eye Pix logo first graced a screen.

Tonight: Posteritati Hosts GEP 30th Anniversary/ Fessenden Box Set Release Party

NYC’s Posteritati is hosting a Glass Eye Pix 30th Anniversary/Fessenden Box Set Release Party tonight.

As the Facebook Invite explains:

Glass Eye Pix, NYC-based production outfit headed by art-horror auteur Larry Fessenden, celebrates 30 years of fierce independent film with a gathering at Posteritati on the day of the release of the Fessenden Collection, a 4 disc blu-ray box set of Fessenden’s films from Shout Factory.

Posteritati will be presenting a slew of the posters that have marked the Glass Eye brand including Wendigo (2001), The House of the Devil (2009), Wendy and Lucy (2008), Habit (1995) and more! Larry Fessenden will be in attendance and will be signing posters as well copies of his blu-ray box set.

IFC Center pays tribute to Glass Eye Pix (“one of the indie scene’s most productive and longest-running companies” —Filmmaker Magazine) with a series of midnight shows starting Thursday October 8.

NYC’s IFC Center celebrates Glass Eye Pix’s 30th Anniversary with Glass Eye Pix: 30th Anniversary Tribute, a series of special screenings throughout October and into November. Screenings include GEP horror classics like NO TELLING and THE HOUSE OF THE DEVIL, as well as some of GEP’s non-horror films like WENDY AND LUCY and THE COMEDY.
